Federal University Dutse (FUD) is one of nine universities established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2011. Federal University of Dutse (FUD) held its first graduation ceremony on January 16, 2016. Delivering his speech at the graduation ceremony, the university's Pioneer Vice-Chancellor Professor Jibirilla Dahiru Aminu (OFR) revealed that the university achieved more than 80% marks in the assessment. made by the National Council of Universities on facilities and academic efficiency. The university campus is located in the ancient city of Dutse, the capital of Jigawa state. FUD seeks to attract a diverse range of teachers and students, to support research and teaching on local, national and global issues and to create academic relationships with many universities and higher education institutions in Nigeria and in the world. FUD offers a wide range of degree programs in humanities, natural and social sciences, agricultural sciences and also medicine. The faculties offered are the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Management Sciences to be occupied this year. From the university's pioneering crop of 205 students enrolled in four university programs in three faculties, it has grown to approximately 3,200 students in the fifth academic year of the university's operation, while there are 1,332 academic and non-teaching staff. The number of courses at the university now stands at 17.
